pet peeve #32: I hate when people ask how I get money to go to conventions. Like, I can understand since there’s so many expenses, but at the same time I can’t help but find it rude. I would think common sense between saving up, having a job, and being supported would be enough of an explanation. It’s not like I rob banks or play the stock market or anything like that. And even social class can come into play, so it’s a fine line between modesty/bragging.
It doesn’t make me mad when someone asks though. I just find it in bad manners, especially if it’s out of the blue.
But that’s just me.
